Hey Y’all I’m going to start off by saying right from the start that there is NO comparison. The Beauty Blender is simply the best. It is more expensive at $20 bucks but in my opinion completely worth it.
I started using the beauty blender instead of just applying my foundation with my fingers because I wanted to see what all the hype was about. Well! I now understand and it is my preferred way of applying my foundation, concealer, bronzer (for easy contouring) and blush. Yes! You can put it all on with one beauty blender instead of 30 brushes LOL. I don’t know about you guys but I don’t have a lot of time to put make up on in the mornings with two little boys to get ready for school, daycare and me off to work. This beauty blender really helps me get my make up on quickly and look like I took forever putting it on oh so meticulously.
Washing this little egg shaped treasure is easy peasy too! What I like to do is after I use it, I just put some soap on it and massage it in and squish all the make-up out. After that you let it dry and its ready to use for your next make up session.
This egg shaped tool is easy to use too. You don’t have to be a professional make-up artist (I’m totally a novice) to get a flawless look. All you have to do is wet the beauty blender (and squeeze the excess water out) and paint your face. One thing I can tell you is to put the foundation on your face (like little dots where you want the coverage). If you put the foundation onto the blender it will soak most of it up and you will end up using more foundation than needed.
So I thought to myself “I have seen these at other places for much cheaper”…. I went ahead to one of my favorite stores for a great discount (Burlington) and bought what I thought was going to be the same thing. I bought a beauty blender knock off for $3. I thought “wow what a steal” As soon as I got home I tore my package open and immediately noticed that this NO FRILLS brand felt completely different. It had a more rubbery texture. It also expanded A LOT when I wet it and squeezed all the excess water.
Using the beauty blender impostor was not a good experience. It soaked up all my foundation and gave me a smeared look and my face felt very wet. I have also used brushes to apply my foundation and found it took alot longer to get the smooth look i can get from the beauty blender in 1 minute.
Ladies, look no further! This is the ultimate tool for your makeup needs. Beauty Blender has my vote.
