Ok! So yesterday was day one of my 10 day green smoothie cleanse. So far so good! The thing I am struggling with the most is not being able to have coffee. I don’t believe I am physically addicted to coffee as I do not have a caffeine headache. I think I am more addicted to the feeling of when I have the coffee. When I drink my coffee (usually in the morning while driving to work or when blogging) I feel clear minded and focused. Basically coffee soothes me …. It’s like a baby with his bobo (pacifier) LOL.
On this cleanse the smoothies are absolutely delicious and I can snack on veggies, nuts (very little as nuts can be very fattening but really help curb the appetite)and eggs for protein. Yes, I do get hungry but sip on the smoothies in between. A lot of this process is mental. Sometimes I want to eat just because, but if I focus and really ask myself “are you hungry” the answer is “No, I am not”
I’m looking forward to becoming more in tune with my bodies needs and give it just that! My goal is to lose some weight and become more active. I want to have natural energy instead of short spurts induced by coffee. Im not saying I will not go back to enjoying my coffee, im saying that I want to be fit enough to not NEED it.
