I tried WEN hair cleanser…here is what I thought!
So as promised I have tried WEN hair cleanser. First thing I noticed was that the bottle was pretty small in comparison to the kind of shampoo bottles I’m used to buying.
I have very thick and long hair so I did not expect this bottle to last me not even for three washes. I also noticed it was quite pricey. I bought the package with two other WEN products. One was a deep conditioning treatment and the other was a re hydrating spray. This package was $46 dollars at Sephora.
Ok so here was my process …..I soaked my hair. I followed the instructions on the bottle which said for long and thick hair I need to use between 24-32 pumps and repeat a second time with half the amount of cleanser. I USED ¼ OF THE BOTTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This cleanser does not lather. I associated lathering with being clean. This is not true. The cleanser made my scalp tingle and smelled good. When I blew my hair out (straight) it looked AMAZING! I LOVED how my hair looked. There was no frizz, it was shiny and smooth. It also lasted A LOT longer than a regular blow out with your every day shampoo. I usually can only leave my hair down after a blow out for two days. After the second day the crown will look oily and need to be put up in a pony tail. With WEN I was able to leave my hair down for 4 DAYS!!! And it still looked fresh!!!.
The WEN bottle actually says that you will notice you do not have to wash your hair as much. I agree totally. All together it is a great product. It does what it says it does. It is expensive and comes in small quantities though. My solution is to finish this bottle and when its done use Deva no poo. This conditioning cleanser gives you more for your money and does the same WEN cleanser does. In conclusion I really like the no lather hair products. I have seen a difference in my hairs texture. I have little frizz and a nice healthy shine.
Let me know your experience with these products and please let me know what you have used!
